If you grant a special tax break to a corporation to entice it to move to your community, you're paying them for their presence, right?
Wouldn't it make sense to get something worthwhile for the money?
Seeing as how it's your money that's being given away?

One would think so, but at least once a year I read about some company laughing all the way to the bank with Minnesota's or Minneapolis' money while doing zilch for the local economy.
